Clothing Manufacturer for Dubai & UAE Brands

Premium manufacturing for Dubai and UAE brands — low MOQ from 100 pieces, and the two real numbers that matter: what you pay landing goods in the UAE directly, versus what you pay routing through a Dubai free zone.

Folded garments beside a shipping box, ready for export to Dubai and the UAE.

Search "clothing manufacturer Dubai" and you'll mostly find trading companies and sourcing agents, not an actual factory quoting real numbers. We're a working factory in Narayanganj, Bangladesh — not a broker — and we ship directly to the UAE. The number most pages skip isn't your unit price, it's which of two very different UAE tax pictures applies to your order, because they're not close.

Here's the part worth getting right: the UAE is not Saudi Arabia's tax picture, and treating it the same way costs you accuracy. If you're bringing goods into the UAE mainland to sell locally, the standard GCC rate genuinely applies here — apparel isn't specially protected the way it is in Saudi — so it's 5% customs duty plus 5% VAT charged on the duty-inclusive value. Worked on 500 tees at $6.00 landed cost ($3,000 total, roughly AED 11,018 at the fixed 3.6725 peg): duty is 5% of $3,000 — $150 / AED 551. VAT is 5% of $3,150 — $157.50 / AED 578. Total tax: $307.50 / AED 1,129, about 10.25% on top — under half of what the same order costs landing in Saudi Arabia.

The second number is the one that makes Dubai genuinely different from anywhere else in the region: if your business is structured through a Dubai free zone — JAFZA or DAFZA are the two logistics-focused ones — and your goods are re-exported onward rather than sold into the UAE mainland, they sit in duty suspension. No 5% duty, no 5% VAT, for as long as they stay in the zone. That's not a loophole we're pointing you toward; it's how these zones are designed to work, and it's exactly why so many small regional brands base their operation in Dubai specifically. Tell us which situation is actually yours and we'll quote the number that applies, not the one that sounds better.

5% duty, not 12% — Dubai isn't Saudi

UAE apparel duty is the standard 5% GCC rate, not Saudi's protected 12%. On 500 tees at $6 landed cost, that's $150 duty + $157.50 VAT — $307.50 total, about 10% added.

Or zero, through a Dubai free zone

Goods routed through JAFZA or DAFZA for re-export sit in duty suspension — no duty, no VAT — as long as they never enter the UAE mainland for local sale.

Selling locally in the UAE? Here's your real number

If your customers are in the UAE itself, not re-exported, the mainland numbers above are the ones to plan around — we'll tell you plainly which applies to your order.

Questions about clothing manufacturing for Dubai and UAE brands, answered

How much will I actually pay to bring clothing into the UAE?

Depends entirely on whether the goods are staying in the UAE or passing through it, and those are genuinely different numbers. Selling into the UAE mainland: 5% customs duty on the CIF value (cost, insurance, freight), then 5% VAT charged on the duty-inclusive value — so on 500 tees at a $6.00 landed cost ($3,000 total, roughly AED 11,018 at the fixed 3.6725 peg), duty is $150 (AED 551), VAT is 5% of $3,150 which is $157.50 (AED 578), for $307.50 (AED 1,129) total — about 10.25% added. Routing through a Dubai free zone like JAFZA or DAFZA for re-export onward: $0, as long as the goods never enter the mainland for local UAE sale. We quote DDP for mainland orders so this number is in your price upfront. Confirm your specific HS code and zone status with UAE Federal Tax Authority guidance or a licensed customs broker before finalising, since structure and destination both affect the real number.

Why is the UAE's tax rate so much lower than Saudi Arabia's?

Because apparel doesn't get the protective treatment in the UAE that it gets in Saudi Arabia. Both countries share the same GCC Integrated Customs Tariff framework since January 2025, but individual product categories can carry different rates within it — Saudi Arabia specifically raises textiles to 12% duty to protect domestic manufacturing, and layers on a higher 15% VAT. The UAE applies the standard 5% GCC duty rate to apparel with no such markup, and UAE VAT overall is 5%, not 15%. The practical result: the same 500-piece order that adds roughly $864 in tax landing in Saudi Arabia adds about $307.50 landing in the UAE — under half. Same region, same general customs framework, genuinely different real cost depending on the destination.

What's a Dubai free zone, and does it actually mean zero tax?

A free zone — JAFZA (Jebel Ali) and DAFZA (Dubai Airport) are the two built specifically for logistics and trade — is a legally separate customs territory inside the UAE. Goods entering one sit in duty suspension: no duty, no VAT, for as long as they stay inside the zone. If those goods are then re-exported to another country without ever crossing into the UAE mainland, they exit having paid nothing — genuinely zero, not deferred. The tax only becomes due at the moment goods leave the zone to enter the UAE mainland for local sale. Zones also allow storage, consolidation, repacking and relabelling without triggering duty, which is why they're commonly used as a regional distribution base rather than just a warehouse. Whether this fits your business depends on your actual legal structure and where your customers are — that's a real question for a UAE-based customs broker or your company formation advisor, not something to assume from a product page.

What's your minimum order?

One hundred pieces per style, per colour — the same floor whether you're landing in Dubai directly or routing through a free zone. What changes with your first order isn't the piece count, it's which tax picture applies: a mainland order at 500 pieces and $6 landed cost runs to roughly $3,307.50 (AED 12,147) once the 10% tax is added; the same order routed for free-zone re-export stays at $3,000 with nothing added. We quote the number that matches your actual situation rather than defaulting to the cheaper-sounding one. If you're testing the market before committing to volume, one style at 100–300 pieces gives you a real read without overcommitting to a shape of order that doesn't sell.

How long does delivery to Dubai take?

Ten to fifteen days for sampling, forty to fifty days for bulk once the pre-production sample is approved, then freight. Air freight to Dubai typically adds four to seven days door to door — UAE's position as a global logistics hub makes this one of the faster air routes we quote, useful for a launch date or first order. Sea freight adds three to five weeks depending on routing, at meaningfully lower cost, and is the sensible move once a style is proven and you're reordering. For mainland orders we ship DDP, so customs clearance and the duty/VAT calculation above are handled on our side. For free-zone routing, tell us the zone and destination at quote stage — the logistics path is different from a standard DDP mainland delivery.
