No, currently. Norway operates its own Generalised System of Preferences, separate from the EU's, and it grants duty-free, quota-free access to apparel and textiles from least-developed countries — Bangladesh included. Without that preference, Norway's standard tariff on clothing runs around 10.7%, so the preference is a real saving, not a rounding error. Norway's 25% VAT still applies regardless of duty, and we ship DDP so that figure is inside your landed cost before you commit. Confirm the current rate for your specific HS code with Norwegian Customs (Tolletaten) if your classification is unusual.

Because it genuinely is — 25% is Norway's standard VAT rate, and we'd rather state that plainly than let a lower headline number surprise you later. It's meaningfully higher than the UK, EU, Switzerland or Saudi Arabia, all of which we also ship to. The upside is that duty on LDC-origin apparel is 0% under Norway's own GSP scheme, so the total tax burden isn't as lopsided as the VAT figure alone suggests — but it's still a real cost, and we quote it inside a single DDP landed cost before you commit rather than leaving you to discover it at the border.

Bangladesh is scheduled to graduate from LDC status on 24 November 2026, and what Norway does with its own GSP preference at that point is a genuine open question we haven't seen a specific Norwegian government commitment on, unlike the UK's named DCTS Enhanced Preferences tier. There's also a live UN process that may push the actual graduation date to 24 November 2029 — the UN Committee for Development Policy has recommended the deferral and it was unanimously forwarded to the General Assembly in July 2026, with a final vote expected before the original date. We're telling you honestly what we know and don't know rather than asserting a Norway-specific commitment we can't point you to.

One hundred pieces per style, per colour — the same floor as every market we ship to. For a Norwegian first order, most brands land on three to five hundred pieces across two or three styles, enough to justify a proper production run without the per-colour split working against you: three hundred tees in one colourway is a single fabric and dye lot, while a hundred each in three colours is three separate lots and prices accordingly. Since duty currently isn't a factor in your Norwegian landed cost, the main variable to plan around is the 25% VAT on top of the manufacturing cost. Sampling takes about ten days, bulk production forty to fifty days once the pre-production sample is approved, then freight on top. Sea freight lands at a European port — typically Rotterdam or Hamburg — before continuing to Norway by feeder vessel or road, adding a few days over a country with more direct routing, but still meaningfully cheaper than air. Air freight adds roughly six to nine days door to door and suits a launch date or a first order where speed matters more than cost. We ship DDP either way, so Norwegian VAT and clearance at the border are handled on our side, and you receive one landed cost and one delivery.
